Kennywood Park has long been a favorite place for families throughout the Pittsburgh area to attend each and every summer.
Kennywood features 31 major rides, including three wooden roller coasters, three water rides, and 14 Kiddieland rides. There are more than 30 games to play in this park, four gift shops, four arcades and refreshment stands located throughout. Kennywood also features free live shows daily on two stages.
Shaded groves with picnic tables are available throughout the summer, except during Fall Fantasy.
Sandcastle
Sandcastle has become Pittsburgh's wildest and wettest summer playground and is just minutes from the Golden Triangle of Pittsburgh on Rt. 837 between the Homestead High Level and Glenwood bridges.
Enjoy fifteen twisting, turning, plunging, and churning waterslides. There are pools for adults (including the world's biggest hot tub) and pools for kids (including Wet Willie's WaterWorks). Surrounding it all is the Lazy River, a gently flowing stream where you can float on an inner-tube for hours.
