More than 50 major movies and films have been shot on location in the Pittsburgh area during the past decade, including the Academy Award-winning Silence of the Lambs, Lorenzo's Oil and Hoffa. Some of the highlights of movies filmed in Pittsburgh include:

"The Mothman Prophecies" (2002)
